Hard panned stereo, a basic Soul rhythm section (guitar, bass, drums, organ), raw Soul and analog warmth is a rare art these days. As much as Soul in the style of the 60’s is coming back, an authentic approach in the way records are played, mixed and mastered can at times feel modern and polished. Even for some of today’s hits in the Indie Soul scene.
